The story of the young girls that were sold frequently 'sold' into service in New Orleans brothels by impoverished families. It's an evocation of a time and a place and a sad chapter of Americana. Some of these girls married well and escaped their positions...others died of drug overdoses & sexual maladies.... whatever their stories, we honour and remember these sweet tragic young women.
