Named for a very famous song by legendary jazz pianist Tony Jackson. He is one of the grandfathers of early jazz and honky tonk music. Noone knows who the influence for the song was but I imagine it could have been one of the pretty little Creole gals at the honky tonks he played at.....the inspiration tells a story. The story of the young girls that were sold frequently 'sold' into service in New Orleans brothels by impoverished families. It's an evocation of a time and a place and a sad chapter of Americana. Some of these girls married well and escaped their positions...others died of drug overdoses & sexual maladies.... whatever their stories, we honour and remember these sweet tragic young women.
The scent:Pristine white southern magnolia blooms, ripe sweet peaches, crushed red berries, creamy gardenias, and a iced lemon custard.
